Rossendale Digital Website Soft Launch
We’ve quietly launched something new.
The Rossendale Digital website is now live. This is a soft launch by design. Not a big reveal with fireworks and all the trimmings. This is more of a practical first step to help in building something useful, open and long-term for Rossendale’s digital community.
The site is going to evolve. The branding will probably be updated over time. The content definitely will. That’s intentional. Rossendale Digital was never seen as a static project. It’s a living one that lots of people from across Rossendale are involved with already. This website is just a new face of a movement.

Curated by Rossendale Digital CIC, at its core, the Rossendale Digital website is being developed as a shared home for the whole digital and tech community across Rossendale. Freelancers, developers, marketers, consultants, designers, data people, students, educators, founders and employers. If you work in the digital sphere around Rossendale, or even if you just want to, this new website and the community it represents are for you.
It’s a place to showcase what’s happening locally, share opportunities, promote events and training and make it easier for people to find each other. Too much good work happens in silos. This is about joining the dots.
The future plan for the website includes adding a directory of digital businesses and individuals from across Rossendale so the Rossendale Digital and tech community can come together more easily.
Digital Hub: Rossendale Digital – Bacup Campus
The website is also home to Rossendale’s digital hub, Rossendale Digital Bacup Campus. Rossendale Digital Bacup Campus is based at the former Christ Church building in Bacup. This is Rossendale’s Digital Hub. A physical space for training, collaboration, co-working and community activity, rooted in both the town of Bacup and also The Valley more broadly.

The Bacup Campus is a physical space for digital in Rossendale. Think of training, collaboration, offices, co-working spaces, and digital community activities. Rooted in the town of Bacup and serving The Valley more broadly, it provides a focal point for digital skills, learning and connection across Rossendale.

Training at the Bacup Campus will cover a broad range of practical digital and technology skills. This includes foundational digital confidence and employability skills, as well as more specialist areas such as data, cyber, automation, AI, software, digital marketing and decision-making. Some sessions will be short and accessible. Others will be deeper, specialist and delivered in partnership with industry and education providers.
Alongside training, the space is designed to support collaboration. Giving digital freelancers, businesses, students and educators a dedicated place in Rossendale to work, meet, share ideas and build things together.
Over time, the website will support additional campuses and partner spaces across Rossendale. Rossendale Digital’s intention is to create a connected digital ecosystem, rather than a collection of isolated projects competing for attention.

Tracy Heatley, AI Marketing Expert and Director of Rossendale Digital CIC said: “This website’s soft launch gives us a foundation. Something we can build on. The website is something the local digital community can help shape, rather than something dropped in, fully formed.
“We’ll keep listening. We’ll keep iterating. And we’ll keep focusing on what actually helps people build skills, careers and sustainable digital businesses here in Rossendale.”
If you’re part of the local digital Rossendale community and local tech world, Rossendale Digital is your space too.
